HTC officially launches One M9 and One E9 with 20MP camera in India

HTC has officially launched its newly announced HTC One M9+ and HTC One E9+ in the Indian market recently. Both the smartphones were originally announced last month. According to HTC, the One M9+ will be available in Gold on Silver and Gold on Gold color options, whereas the One E9+ will be made available in Meteor Grey, Gold Sopia and Rose Gold colours.

HTC has priced the One M9+ in the Indian market at Rs. 52,500 and is now available across the country. HTC has revealed that the One E9+ will be available for purchase starting second-half of May. There is no word on pricing details of E9+ yet. Also, HTC has not revealed when it plans to introduce the flagship One M9 in the Indian market.

Along with the phones, HTC has also introduced a new HTC One Privileges program for One M9+ buyers in the country. HTC notes that, those who buys One M9+ will get one-year insurance for the phone, which will compensate consumers for any accidental or liquid damages. Like all One series smartphones, the One M9+ and E9+ also comes with dual front facing HTC BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio.

HTC has stuffed the One M9+ with a home button like Fingerprint scanner below the display. As far as specifications are concerned, HTC One M9+ comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, 2.2GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek helio X10 (MT6795T) processor, PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 on top. The smartphone measures 150.99 x 71.99 x 9.61 mm and weights 168 grams.

Other specifications include 20MP rear camera with dual LED flash and secondary camera for depth information (Duo camera set-up), a 4MP UltraPixel front facing camera, 32GB internal storage with expandable memory up to 2TB using microSD card and 2,840 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), DLNA, and Internal GPS antenna + GLONASS + Beidou.

On the other hand, HTC One E9+ comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with pixel density of 534 PPI, 2.0GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6795M processor, PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7. The smartphone measures 156.5 x 76.5 x 7.54 mm and weights 150 grams.

HTC has also stuffed the One E9+ with 20MP main camera with f/2.2, BSI sensor, 4K video recording and 13MP front facer selfie camera with f/2.0 and 4K video recording support too. Other specifications include 32GB internal storage with up to 128GB expandable using microSD card and 2,800 mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity, the One E9+ comes with 4G LTE support, 3G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), DLNA, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, micro-USB 2.0 port and Internal GPS antenna + GLONASS + Beidou.

HOW TO REPAIR INVALID IMEI CHANGE IMEI ON MTK DEVICES USING MTK ENGINEERING MOD

1.Copy both M_IMEI And S_IMEI numbers and write it on notepad or anywhere.

2.DOWNLOADand install MTK ENGR MOD apk.

3.Open and select MTK Settings.

LG Stylus 2 Plus with 5 7 inch Quantum display launched in India for Rs 24 450

LG has officially launched a new variant of LG Stylus 2 in India. Called LG Stylus 2 Plus, the device was first launched in Taiwan earlier this year. LG Stylus 2 Plus when compared to Stylus 2 comes with upgraded specifications and features, though design remains the same. The Stylus 2 Plus comes in black color option and LG has priced it at Rs. 24,450.

The device is already available from selected brick and mortar retailers in the country.

Like its predecessors, LG Stylus 2 Plus also comes with a stylus pen but with nano-coated tip, which LG says provides more accuracy compared to rubber-tipped pen. Special features such as Pen Pop toggles a pop-up menu when the stylus is removed and provides shortcut for Pop Memo and Pop Scanner applications.

Another feature called Pen Keeper alerts users when the phone is detected as being in motion and the stylus bay is empty. This feature is helpful as it prevents the stylus from being misplaced.

The LG Stylus 2 Plus has a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS Quantum display, 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device measures 155 x 79.6 x 7.4 mm and weighs 146 grams.

On the imaging front, we get an 16MP rear camera with LED Flash and an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash. Other specifications include 16GB internal storage which is expandable using microSD card and 3000mAh removable battery.

The Stylus 2 Plus also comes with fingerprint scanner on back which is embedded inside power button. Like traditional LG smartphones, you will find volume rockers on the back of the device just below the camera, separated by power button. Connectivity series include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1.

Sony officially announces its next selfie smartphone the Xperia C4 with 5MP front shooter

Sony earlier this week officially took the wraps off its next selfie smartphone called as Sony Xperia C4. The Xperia C4, as the name suggests is the successor of the Xperia C3, which was launched last year. According to Sony, the Xperia C4 will be released in both single SIM and dual-SIM variants and will be available in black, white and mint color options.

Sony notes that both the Xperia C4 and C4 Dual will be available in select markets across the world from the beginning of June 2015. There is no word on pricing details yet.

On the specifications front, the Xperia C4 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 401 PPI pixel density, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, Mali 760-MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xperia UI on top. The smartphone measures 150.3 x 77.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 147 grams.

Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera with 25mm wide-angle lens, 16GB internal storage with expandable up to 128GB using microSD card and 2,600 mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi 2A with 4 7 inch HD display 4G LTE support announced for under 100

Xiaomi to mark its 5th anniversary celebration, had announced an affordable variant of its Redmi 2 smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Redmi 2A. Redmi 2A is the most affordable Xiaomi smartphone, priced at just 599 Yuan, which roughly converts to $96 or Rs. 6,143. Like original Redmi 2, the Redmi 2A also comes in range of color options including White, Dark Gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink colors.

Xiaomi Redmi 2A packs in similar specifications as Redmi 2, with only difference in processor. Instead of 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor, the Redmi 2A is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Leadcore L1860C processor, which offers Mali-T628MP2 dual-core GPU.

Other specifications of the smartphone include the same 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI v6 on top, dual-SIM support, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 128GB using microSD card, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and 2,200 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 8 inch and 9 7 inch specifications leaked

Samsung is surfacing in the tech headlines as there are several leaks and speculations surrounding the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. But that is not all. The vendor is also prepping the Galaxy Tab S 2 tablet that is said to be slimmer than the iPad Air 2. A recent SamMobile report has revealed the details pertaining to the specifications and features of the upcoming lineup of slates.

Going by the report, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 will arrive with 8-inch and 9.7-inch models with 4:3 aspect ratio. It is said that these panels will be Super AMOLED ones boasting screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, while previous generation models came with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.

The report goes on stating that these slates will be equipped with Exynos 7420 chipset with 64-bit processing ability and run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box. The 8-inch model is said to boast of a 3,580 mAh battery, while the 9.7-inch one is claimed to pack a 5,870 mAh battery.

Other aspects that the report suggests include an 8MP main camera at their back and a 2.1MP front facer to handle the imaging requirements. It is likely to come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB default storage space that can be expanded by another 128GB using microSD. The upcoming Galaxy Tab S 2 are said to flaunt a metallic frame to give a premium look.

The 8-inch model has dimensions of 198.2×134.5×5.4 and the 9.7-inch model comes in at 237.1×168.8×5.4, and both are considerably light at 260g and 407g. Though the report does not reveal anything regarding the launch plans of these tablets, they are expected to be unveiled in mid-2015.

The 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900 (Exynos) has just started rolling out. The first released took place in Russia that comes with firmware build N900XXUDNA6. All Galaxy Note 3 owners might also seeing this update this coming weeks but it’s still up from Samsung to when that time could be.

Important Reminders before Flashing Stock Firmware

Install/Upgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100XXDMC1 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Official Update

Will this trip KNOX warranty void flag counter to 0×1?
Nup, this a official and signed firmware from Samsung, so flashing official firmware will not trip KNOX.
My Galaxy Note 3 is rooted, will I lose root?
If your device is currently rooted you will lose root after flash, but you can still root it again anytime you want.

Disclaimer: Use of this method is solely at your own risk! Please proceed with precautions, for we will not take any responsibility if anything happens to your device by using this guide.

Make sure that your Galaxy Note 3 battery is fully charge.
Stock Firmware packages comes in two formats the ‘Full-Wipe’ (delete your stored data after flashing) and the ‘Non-Wipe’ (it doesn’t delete your phone’s stored data) but it is highly recommended to make a back up all important files stored from your phone’s internal memory – contacts, messages, etc. before flashing no-matter if it is Full-WIpe or Non-Wipe, just to be safe and ensure that your stored data are in safe if something went wrong during the flashing process.
Use a PC or laptop that runs in Windows OS, with a good and perfectly working USB serialport. Odin will not work on MAC OS.
Use the supplied USB cable for your Galaxy Note 3.
Enable USB debugging from your phone’s settings – while if you are on 4.3 just hit Settings>About Phone> then scroll down to the build number and tap that number for around 7-times ’til the Developer option appear.
Ensure that KIES is closed and not running in the system tray! Kies and Odin are both created by Samsung but Kies will interrupt and doesn’t like Odin, it will block you from flashing.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat now comes with a new protected bootloader that might cause issues when you try to downgrade to the old software updates. This also applies if you are planning into rooting and installing any custom recovery and any unsigned firmware once you are on 4.4.2 KitKat, so please be aware with that.

Install the USB Driver first to get rid of flashing failures. Also need to extract the downloaded file which is packed in zip or rar files, so that you’ll get the tar.md5 file.

Run and Configure Odin

Run Odin downloader Odin3_v3.09 on your PC desktop. Watch out the check-boxes options on the right top of Odin, ensure that the ‘Phone Bootloader Update’, ‘AUTO-REBOOT’ and ‘F.RESET TIME’ checkboxes must be checked. Only the ‘RE-PARTITION’ is unchecked.

Reboot your Galaxy Note 3 into Download Mode

To reboot the Galaxy Note 3 into download mode , you need to turn the power off. After it completely shut off, just press and hold the Volume Down key, Home button and the Power ON/OFF button simultaneously.

You should then prompted into a warning screen and asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel, just simply press volume up to get into download mode. The download mode then displays an Android robot and say’s “Downloading.. Do not turn off target!!”

Connect your Phone to PC or Laptop

Once you already reboot the phone in download mode, simply connect the phone to your PC or laptop USB.
In Odin window – the ID:COM box will turn to blue color and indicates the COM port number and a word “Added” on a log box will prompt you that the device is already detected or recognized by Odin. Your COM port number might be different from mine. If you do not see a COM port number then there’s something missing or wrong. You may read again from the top of this post.

Load the stock 4.4.2 N900XXUDNA6 KitKat firmware file

The stock firmware is pack in a single .tar.md5 file only. Now, you need to just simply click on the AP button, then browse to the folder where the file you have previously extracted and then select and load it.

Start Flashing or Installing the stock firmware

Once if all set and ready to fire-up, hit the “START” button in Odin to begin flashing the stock ROM.
Do not ever interrupt the phone while already in flashing progress, like disconnecting the cable or turning the device off. Just wait until it completely finish.

Wait ’till it PASS!!

When the Stock Firmware installation successfully completes, you will then see a word “PASS” in Odin. This indicates that the flashing was already finish, and on the log box it says “All threads completed (succeed 1 / failed 0)”. The phone will just then automatically reboot, then it’s about time to remove it from PC or laptop USB connection.

Confirm if you successfully installed the stock firmware

Confirm your fresh firmware installed by typing *#1234# or
Go to Settings>About Phone>Firmware info.
You can also do factory reset by dialing *2767*3855#.

Possible errors that you may encountered, this is based on my own experience while flashing stock firmware on Samsung Android devices. These are just a few hints on how to resolved it.

Q: I got an error message that says “Set-up connection Failed” ?
A: 1. Check your USB connection from the phone to PC,
2. Connect to another PC USB port
3. Check and or try to another USB cable
4. Re-install the USB driver.
Q: Odin just suddenly stuck in the middle of nowhere while in flashing progress, it isn’t responding at all?
A: Check for possible program that might interrupt the process, like disabling the anti-virus and closing any running programs. Also try to use another computer or laptop,
Q: I experienced bootloop or the phone just stuck on Welcome Logo (phone always stop at bootanimation) and it won’t boot normally?
A: This eventually happens if your device came from custom firmware but you can fix it via recovery mode option, do this:
Boot in recovery mode
1. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power button.
2. Use volume keys to select, Up and Down and Power or Home key to select the option
3. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset using the Home button.
4. Next select the Wipe Cache Partition
5. Lastly, select Reboot System Now to reboot your Galaxy Note 3 in Normal mode.
